Mirko Rapp, Head of America of BOWA MEDICAL: “I am very pleased that we can now operate even closer to our customers and further expand our worldwide customer service with our new Brazilian partners and sales location in Sao Paulo. We see great opportunities in South America to better position our innovative products of energy-based surgery “made in Germany” in the healthcare market and to strengthen new customer business.”
Brazil's healthcare market is developing dynamically
Brazil is the largest country in South America with over 200 million inhabitants, and shows a great need for sophisticated medical technology solutions, particularly in the healthcare sector and its dynamic developments. In recent decades, more than 40 million Brazilians have risen to the middle class. The state healthcare system SUS (Sistema Unico de Saude) is accompanied by a growing private healthcare market. Current World Bank figures show low but stable economic growth of 2.2 to 2.4 percent for the fifth largest country in the world.
BOWA MEDICAL strengthens Brazilian healthcare
“With BOWA MEDICAL Brazil, we are creating the conditions to help shape and actively benefit from the major changes in the Brazilian healthcare system. Despite the global corona crisis, we will continue to expand our South American sales channels, combine our synergies and do everything in our power to ensure that the population of Brazil can experience excellent medical care and support, preferably with products from BOWA MEDICAL,” says Dr Claudio Santos, Managing Director of BOWA MEDICAL Brazil.
Martin Heinrich, Managing Director of BOWA MEDICAL: “At the same time, the further expansion of our international business relations and worldwide sales structure also secures our jobs at the German location and helps us to successfully implement our growth and business objectives.”
